We know from various sources that our people revered wedding towels as strong talismans, protectors of the family and the whole house. I offer to your attention the not quite common, but extremely elegant wedding towel Auberig. The ornament of this towel is an ancient and powerful Ukrainian symbol - the tree of life. It establishes the unity of past, present and future generations. Most often, the Tree of Life is embroidered as it grows out of a "flowerpot", a pot. This is a symbolic image of the Family Tree, which grew from a branch broken off from the World Tree
According to researchers, the symbol of the Tree of Life in pre-Christian times was a symbol of the genus of the forefather of all gods. It begins with a large flower - the sun of the other world and ends with the flower of the Creator, which symbolizes the fire of life. It is a union of maternal and paternal energies. The tree is decorated with flowers, buds, and fruits that symbolize family happiness, procreation, and well-being. Birds on branches symbolize mutual love, loyalty, family. Individual flowers and birds located separately from the tree (near it) symbolize ancestors who are no longer on this earth, who continue to protect the family in heaven.
They say that if there is a towel with a tree of life in the house, then energy flows there along its trunks. You can even just draw a tree on the furniture if you can't hang a towel.
